Julie Ann was the first participant in the ALCB programs in 2011. Living impoverished with no shelter, no food, no family and no hope Julie Ann was recommended to us to assist her in her difficult situation. It was so sad when we found her and her 14th month old baby in a tin shack squatting on a building site. Through our program we were able to give her hope for a brighter future. Julie Ann was an orphan and had worked on her grandfathers farm since she was 10 years of age. Today she is a sophisticated lady, with a job. Her seven year old daughter is top of her class in school. They have their own house, furniture, food, electricity and most importantly Jesus in their life. Julie Ann says, "I was contemplating a life of prostitution to provide for my baby, but because of ALCB showing me love and taking care of us we have a good life." We know Jesus now and he takes care of our every need."
